Required dock space

The floating frame is tied to the dock on either the long side or the short side to take up less space. Keel length for sailboats: max. 1.6 meters. Extra sizes on request. Contact us for more information.

Process of cleaning

A boat of 10 meters length (30 ft) is cleaned in about 15 minutes.

Below the installation is a collection basin, which collects algae, shells and particles. In addition, a filter system is installed, which filters microplastics and particles. There is a fish stop system to protect the fish. The brushes rotate at 20 rpm and are very quiet (about 60 dB).

01

A hydraulic gate is lowered and the boat enters. The gate is closed and the boat is tied up.

02

Cleaning is activated with a hand-held remote control and the rotating brushes automatically adjust to the hull.

03

The brushes move along the boat to the stern and back, removing fouling. The brushes are designed to adjust to bulb keels up to 45 cm wide.

Material

The brushes are made of strong, non-abrasive polymer. There is a large basin under the machine where debris is collected for safe disposal. The basin door opens and closes between wash cycles.

Frame

The BIGWASH machines are made of a U-shaped frame made of naval grade aluminum. Along the aluminium frame runs a washing system composed of 8 to 10 rotating brushes.

Power supply

All BIGWASH machines are hydraulically operated. They are connected to a 400 V three-phase current and consume about 1 kWh per 15 minutes of washing.

Operation

The BIGWASH is operated by a manual remote control. At the press of a button you can open and close the door and move the broom unit around.

Hint

For smaller boats we have the MINIWASH. A boat up to 8 meters long (24 ft) takes less than 15 minutes to be cleaned.
